Creative LED displays have redefined how fashion brands design runway experiences. Instead of relying on static sets, leading brands now use immersive digital environments to tell stronger visual stories and create memorable moments. The following cases show how different creative approaches can transform a fashion show.
In this show, Balenciaga built a massive 2,000-square-meter circular LED tunnel that integrated the floor, walls, and ceiling into one continuous visual system. As a result, the entire venue became a fully enclosed digital space.
The content played across the screens constantly evolved—from flowing code and data streams to cosmic nebulae, lava textures, ocean waves, neural networks, and glitch effects. Because of this continuous transformation, models appeared to walk through a shifting “digital universe.” This approach didn’t just enhance the visuals; it created a true sense of immersion and delivered a futuristic “time-travel” experience for the audience.
Earlier, Balenciaga explored a completely different direction by focusing on environmental storytelling. The brand installed a 1,000-square-meter LED ceiling combined with a seamless background wall, forming a dramatic “sky dome” effect.
The visuals featured rolling storm clouds, lightning, burning skies, oceans, melting glaciers, and planetary imagery. As these elements unfolded, models walked through what felt like an apocalyptic natural environment. Consequently, the show didn’t just present clothing—it reinforced a strong message about climate change and environmental awareness.

In contrast, Dior took a more graphic and conceptual approach. The show used an ultra-long LED backdrop dominated by fluorescent pink and yellow lines, creating a bold and highly recognizable visual identity.
At the same time, dynamic content—such as flipping book pages and collage-style slogans like “NOT HER”—appeared across the screen. These elements challenged traditional female stereotypes and aligned with the show’s feminist theme. Additionally, the vertical stripes on the LED wall echoed the colored runway design, which helped unify the entire visual composition. The result was minimal yet powerful, with strong brand recognition and clear messaging.
These examples highlight a critical shift: creative LED displays are no longer just background elements. Instead, they function as narrative engines. Whether building an immersive digital world, delivering a social message, or creating a bold visual identity, LED technology allows fashion brands to control the entire atmosphere—and ultimately make their shows more impactful and unforgettable.
